QUEST Fall Semester 2011 Entry #23: "The Countdown"

The next two blog entries will be dedicated to the upcoming Young Adults Live (YAL) on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Christ Church East Campus (68 Church Street, Montclair, NJ). The purpose of YAL was birthed out of the need for college students and young adults to interact with Scripture together, fellowship, share testimonies and grow in the Lord. Too often, this generation seems too busy and do not have time to interact with one another. If they do, it is by social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and this blog. YAL is one of the ways the ministry desires to connect young adults together for the purpose of reaching their full potential in Jesus Christ.

In the past, YAL has featured speaking on numerous topics on choices, relationships, and being bold and courageous. This time, we will focus on the topic of identity. Without giving too much away, discovering one's identity can appear to be a daunting task. With the pressures and demands in our culture today, we can become stressed to have everything together and already solidifying our direction and purpose in life. But, before we react to a world crying out for you to know who you are, we must respond to the Word of God that says, "Do you know who you are?"

Rather than just listening, this YAL will be interactive with time for us to grow and develop as a community of young adults. I encourage you to join us! For more information on the upcoming YAL, check out www.facebook.com/questyam under events. It's the final countdown -- 2 days!
