DAY 1: "Christ Everyday"

DAY 1: "Christ Everyday"
Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25

This year, the holiday season did not come sooner with the advent of Black Friday at 12 midnight on Friday, November 25th. Rather than the marketed Black Friday, it was more like Black and Blue Friday. Shoppers across the country were rushing to the local retail stores to buy the cheapest flat screen, game console, clothes and other deals they could find. It was recently reported that Best Buy was the champion amongst the stores for their latest deals. Consumer agencies showed an increase from last year and appears that it will be a holiday bonanza earlier next year.

With all the deals and marketing for the Christmas season, the meaning of Christmas can get lost and unfortunately, it is done purposely for the sake of gift-giving rather than focused on the real gift. We've started this blog, "25 Days of Christmas" to unequivocally announce and proclaim that we celebrate Christmas to recognize and embrace the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we look forward to Christmas Day, let us seek the Lord and His Word of why He came, what He desires of us, and why He is coming back! It's not about Black Friday or Cyber Monday...it's about Christ everyday!
