DAY 6: A SIGN UNTO YOU
Scripture: Luke 2:12
What was given as a sign that the shepherds had found the baby Jesus? Luke 2:12 tells us that the sign was swaddling clothes and the manger. When we read this in the Scriptures, it is a reminder that God gives us signs that lead to His Son. But, the signs may not be what you expect. For the shepherds looking for Jesus, the salvation of humanity, the signs were what were considered simple things. It is amazing how simple things can lead to a profound truth. In the case of the birth of Jesus, swaddling clothes and a manger lead to "the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
What signs are leading you to Jesus? What signs are leading you to a deeper relationship with Him? He is calling each of us to know Him more and more. He desires our desire to grow in knowing Him. So, it begs the question: In your life right now, what signs are leading you to Him? Today, reflect and pray that you are open to the signs that will lead right to Christ Himself.
